Volunteer Opportunities

We all play a role in building strong communities where individuals, children and families are valued and supported. Volunteering can give your mind, heart and body a jumpstart! Our volunteer program has many different opportunities to get you involved in the community working with children and families. 

Every volunteer will receive orientation, training and support to carry out their assigned role.  Complete the application below if you would like to learn more about joining our volunteer program.

One of the following volunteer opportunities may be just for you:

After School ProgramTutors
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring assistance for elementary aged clients of KidsFirst.  Volunteers can set their own schedule but are asked to be available one day a week for at least 2 hours. 

Staff Support General reception assistance including but not limited to greeting clients when they enter KidsFirst, answering phones and taking messages.  Volunteers can set their own schedule but are asked to be available one day a week for at least 3-4 hours.  

·      Monday -  Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

One-Time Project/Community Service volunteers participate in special projects requiring one day or less to complete. Available projects vary on a month-to-month basis.

Collegiate Interns KidsFirst accepts applications for collegiate interns with minimum internship requirements of 80 hours per semester. Only a limited number of interns can be accepted. Applications should be submitted a minimum of two months before the start of the semester.
